Power of Frozen

Iceland is a unique British business. It is focused on providing the best in-store frozen food in the best possible way, combined with a mantra of constant innovation and incredible value.

 

Over the years Iceland has carved out an admirable place in the supermarket world and is wedded to a strong ethical ethos that underpins much of its growth aspirations.

Jon Croft Editions was approached by the passionate and forward thinking marketing team at Iceland to publish a cookery book to celebrate 45 years of Iceland supermarkets, founded by Sir Malcolm Walker in 1970. All the proceeds were to go to The Children's Food Trust charity.

After many visits by the Jon Croft Editions creative team to Iceland’s HQ in Deeside to discuss the book and its content, a focused direction and vision for the book was agreed. Holly Bell, a talented food writer and finalist in The Great British Bake Off, was commissioned to develop 45 recipes. The book was to be called The Power of Frozen.

Once written, photographed and designed, the Power of Frozen was printed and published and then made available to the public to buy on-line and through the many hundreds of Iceland supermarkets across the length and breadth of the United Kingdom and Ireland.
